That's a pretty hummer, Zane. Where I am we have only one type, the ruby-throuted hummers.
There are three types that show up in the Sangre de Cristos
Broad-tailed ( which look very much like the Ruby Throated birds)
Rufus, the orange guys, they show up at the end of June/ first of July. They are very aggressive and will do everything they can to keep a feeder to themselves.
And a few Calliope, they are the smallest of the hummers, they have cute little 'beards' of red. they are timid and quick, so they are harder to spot.

That's a good-looking male hummer, Zane! I haven't been able to photograph an adult male in the right light angle to show the orange gorget this whole season. They will be around here for a few more weeks before they move south.
