Re: Leica M/X/T/S/Q Picture Thread

It has been about two Months now since my accident. I have been confined mostly to a bed or chair in Hospital, Recovery Home, or my home since. No possibility to get out and see the World, let alone shoot some images. I have to work hard to keep my spirts up in such circumstances, but in general I manage.

But today was a great day. My oldest son and his family are down for a visit from Montana. He brought over my three Grand Children for lunch and a visit. My oldest Granddaughter who is 8 years old, and her Grandmother decided to play dress up, and put on an impromptu fashion show for me while I sat in my chair. I liked this outfit, and I liked it more because it was before they began applying the makeup.

So, I decided to grab my Leica and shot a portrait or two. My still very limited mobility gave me no choice in background
or angle of view. Just working with the available light through a large window.
Light levels were very low. Focused with RangeFinder, shot wide open at f/2.0, manual exposure. Nothing special. But taking an image of my Granddaughter with my Leica, lifted my spirits immensely.

Peter Karbe has a point when he says these lenses are designed to be shot wide open. Such beautiful rendering and detail when viewed at full resolution.

Yes, I had a wonderful afternoon today.

Here is the image.

Enjoy...
