Flashback: Comet NEOWISE and the aurora over the Palouse
It was 2 years ago today that I had decided to drive out of town (I live in Pullman) and setup and run a time lapse of comet NEOWISE through the night overlooking wheat fields and Steptoe Butte. I used two cameras and setup one with a 35mm and the other with an 85mm lens.
I was given a pleasant surprise with noctilucent clouds at the beginning of the night following by some aroura activity later on in the evening. I had time to shoot the Milky Way over the dirt road I was on (last shot) as well which has ended up as several prints on friends walls now. I stayed out until the moon started to rise and I am glad I did as I was able to capture the last few shots with the wheat fields lighting up.
The time lapse turned out better than expected for my skill level.
