A while back a photo buddy and I stopped in at one of my old tucked away places to visit. Thought that day there was not anything going on I thought it would be a productive place for Green Herons when the timing was right. I made that visit in the early evening and was lucky to have a performing Green Heron once coaxed out of cover!
The light was nice, some warmth in it early then went a bit cool as the sun was setting. It is hilarious to watch the snatch and grab and then to see the Heron fuss over rinsing it off a dozen times and shaking it out Here are some of the story telling shots as I first saw it and some favorites after it got out in the open. I will have 1 or 2 more posts to follow with a fun sequence to share too.
These all are significant crops, shot off a monopod with A1 and 200-600, processed in LR and Topaz at times. Comments and suggestions are always welcomed as are any questions.
Thanks for your visit!
