Went to an airshow at Dover AFB on Saturday, first show for me this year. It was 95 degree F (35 degree C), just brutal to be out there in the sun for 8 hours, lots of heat distortion for distant subjects. The star performers were the Blue Angels, the Thunderbirds and the B-2. It's very rare the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds perform at the same show. I have been to over 60 airshows, this it my second time to see them at the same show.
Here are some of the Thunderbirds shots first. The frame rate per second of the A1 is perfect for capturing the opposing passes, as long as I can keep the jets in the frame, I will get the shot.
Thank you Cathy! Love how you follow the eagle family, great shots and framing. I have seen more bald eagles than most but never seen eaglets.
Saw the Blue Angels again at the Naval Academy in Annapolis Wednesday afternoon, very cloudy and "smoky" from the jets. They usually do the demonstration on Wednesday and the flyover at the commencement of Friday.
