In 2017, after being released from the hospital, I went on many many walks - probably fueled by the massive doses of steroids given me to help with newly found auto-immune renal disease. On the very first walk in late April of 2017 I came across two trees in flower that I had never seen before - Royal Star Magnolias. The light perfume was just the aroma nudge I needed. I ended each walk in this park at these two trees, and sought my own to plant in my yard. This is the fifth year it has bloomed, and it is about four feet high and about 4 feet wide wide. It went from zero to about forty blossoms in one day - here are a few. All, except the third one, are shot with the D7200 + 105mm f1.8 ais, and the tc-16amod. The third one is the 5DS-R with the 55mm f3.5 ai'd Nikkor-P.C
