QANTAS just recently re-started service back from Australia to DFW Airport. Formerly they were flying a B-747-400, then they went to the A-380. Now, after a two year absence, they've started service back with a B-787. On Friday, they brought in one of their special scheme birds.

According to some websites, this paint scheme is honoring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians. They previously had a B-747 with a similar scheme in red, that every now and then would come to DFW, also.

Years ago I flew nonstop from Auckland, New Zealand to Los Angeles, it was one of the longest flight, if not THE longest flight that time, something like 17 or 18 hours. I flew nonstop from Newark, NJ to Hong Kong many times, LONG flights as well and over the Russian airspace! I haven’t flown since the pandemic. I watched a YouTube channel few days ago about how many extra hours it is adding to some flights because the Russian air space is no longer open to those flights.
