I have a couple of sad and sobering bits of news to share with you. Our long time friend Jon Berry succumbed to covid last Sunday morning. Hi wife Debbie contacted me this morning to tell me that Jon asked her to say hello and goodbye for him. Jon was always one of my favorite guys. I have never regretted handling the issue here the way I handled it, but I have always felt badly that it ended our friendship. Jon was passionate about his faith and I am sure that Debbie finds comfort and Peace knowing that he is enjoying the Promise that he so freely shared with the people he came in contact with.
The second thing that I wanted to share is that Jay Beckman has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has metasticized to his brain and several other places. He had surgery for the mass in his head and is beginning a regimen of radiation and chemotherapy .Jay was one of our charter members and one of the most amazing photographers I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Please keep Jay in your thoughts and prayers.
News like this certainly gives one perspective, if we didn't already have it after the past few years.
My deepest condolences brother!
I too have had way to many pieces of sobering deaths in the past 3 weeks! 97 year old aunt from covid and family would NOT get her vaccinated. They got covid and gave it to her!!!!
Lifelong childhood friend from Iowa...went blind a few years ago, throat cancer, fell and had TBI and died. A famous pro and college sportscaster, dog rescue pilot and educator at Catawba College-NoCarolina. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Moreland)
And my wife is still "pieced" together while jerks who could wouldnot take the vaccine occupy beds sick people need. Her surgery is NOT essential! WTF!!!!!?? She is cut in half!!!!!!
