This is an optical illusion. What appears to be the side profile of ice curving back is actually a flat ice pattern.
Lines, negative space, light and dark tones from the ice have transformed a 2 dimensional scene into a 3 dimensional image. What you are seeing is the surface of the frozen lake I visited recently. My vantage point was up on a hill looking across at the lake.

The concept itself is good.Yet the subject is too vague to speak to the viewer.Also upper and lower spaces are empty and say nothig,
Please,be bearing in mind it is just my subjective,personal point of view.I am not an artist.Just a medical doctor.So I can be wrong.
Thank you Peire. I appreciate reading your thoughts on the image. It's definitely a nuanced image. Would a tighter crop help? I figured the negative space above and below would help draw the eye the form and lines of the subject. Perhaps I was wrong.
