Any non-NPS orders after 8:03am shipped yet from B&H?
I am a non-NPS order confirmed at 8:06am, still waiting...

I put in my order at 8:02 and just got it yesterday. I would think you'd be soon.

Yep, really bad service and yet, top dollar is paid. I have my suspicions as to why this is but being somewhat political in nature, I am not going to post it here.

What I see, and what irks me about FedEx, is the way that they will often handle late packages. I have had so many packages sitting in town at the FedEx Ground distribution center, and they don't attempt a delivery on the expected day, but rather they mark it as "Undeliverable due to weather."

And of course, it's sitting local and it's a beautiful sunny day. I suspect this is done on purpose, and having called customer support, confirmed that internally, they always have a different and known reason for the package being delayed. But they mark the public tracking as due to weather as I am sure they have SLAs with many customers (like B&H) that do a lot of shipping, but that weather delays don't count against the SLA. This makes sense, as weather is not their fault. But if the shipper isn't carefully monitoring both the status of packages and the weather where the package is sitting, they would never know what FedEx is doing.

Some people have good luck with FedEx, but the thing is, there will naturally be much more variation in the quality of FedEx Ground service than there will be for UPS Ground, for example, because they contract out the work. Only FedEx Express is actually delivered by FedEx. I've literally had FedEx customer support tell me that FedEx Ground just isn't their problem. Of course, FedEx can can delegate authority, but they can't delegate responsibility. If I pay you for a service, it's your responsibility to deliver it.

It mostly annoys me that B&H calls FedEx ground to my house "Free Express Shipping" they also sometimes call it "Free Standard Shipping" but since I am in the range that FedEx says they'll deliver to in 2 days, B&H isn't going to spend more for my "Express" shipping when I buy enough to qualify for the free express "upgrade."

But I am at the edge of that d-day range, and FedEx only gets it here in that timeframe maybe 50% of the time. I am not paying for it, so I can only be so annoyed, of course. And if B&H called it "Standard" I honestly wouldn't care. It irks me that FedEx is lying, most likely to pull the wool over the eyes of B&H who I think truly believes that they're delivering me free 2-day shipping. They aren't, but that's what their SLA says and as far as they know, they are only missing SLA when the weather is bad, and they can't be asked to change the weather!

This is nice for smaller things but I’ve stopped applying reward certificates to big purchases, since most credit card companies require you to charge the entire amount to double the warranty. Just FYI.

You can still use the credit card and buy the item. I am pretty sure he was saying he would get points. Not use them.
