I just got my Z9 also and have tried my hand at some wildlife...mainly to test and learn the autofocus modes. I primarily shoot in the studio and landscapes. But, I think I'm starting to get hooked on this wildlife shooting. I found a rare duck (Northern Shoveler) and went on a hike to find a Snowy Owl (which I got some great shots). Even printed one and hung on the wall. What I liked about your photos was the ground level perspective you got. I'm going to try that as soon as the wind chill temp rises above negative numbers around here in Massachusetts.
You are brave. My Z9 has been sitting in my bag for almost a week now.
