Beautiful frame. TFS. But just so I understand, are you saying that you were getting much better results with 400E + 2x TC compared to 600E (I suppose using both at f/5.6?)?! I find that a bit strange. I don’t have a Z9 but this certainly was not the case with my D5. So what is about Z9 that you think might possibly explain your observation?!
Oh no. The 600E with the 1.4TC is really good and from what little I have shot with the 1.7TC on the 600E I am very impressed with that combo also.
I was just saying that the 400E with the 2xTC is much better than the 2xTC on the the 600E.....at least for action. Still subjects may deem it usable. I didnt use the 2X on the 600e much as I could tell immediately that it was giving me soft images of a Grackle in flight.
