R3 texture did seem slicker than z9, but quite good in the hands. It has a slight texture but the grip seemed really good.
z9 does not drop resolution when focusing, but the R3 has 5.67 million dot EVF with 120 fps refresh. I felt this was a better EVF than the z9. But, I only remember the z9 EVF from several weeks ago, and that demo was at night while today's was during the day. So, please don't take it as fact .. just what my brain felt. As for lag, I did not feel any lag on the z9 nor R3. Both felt natural.
