Just read up on people's experiences between A9 and A7III. The same differences will apply between the A1 and A7IV. Actually the gap is bigger.
Whether any of the benefits of the A1 matter to you only you can decide.
As far as I understand it the A74 does 20 or 30 AF calculations per second, the A9 60, and A1 120.
I am uncertain how AF per second calculations affects burst sequence AF success rate but I do assume the higher the number the better.
I am eagerly awaiting seeing A74 burst sequences AF keeper results. I am curious to know if the A74’s “bird eye tracking” AF does well enough in spite of the A74’s low AF calculation per second specification.
To be honest...I have little hope for the A74 as I’ve seen little (nothing) on the usual WWW sources showing the A74 whereas the other newly released camera of late has numerous information answering all questions of mine and more.
