Bokeh is rather horrible for most of the Minolta wides with probable exception of the 35mm F1.4 (G) but at the price the Minoltas go for it makes sense to get the current Sony branded version.
Which reminds me, I quite like the Tamron SP 35mm F1.8 Di USD, but I haven't tried it on film.
