Looking for some help here. Now that I realized that SL2-S can go as long as 30 minute exposures (mechanical shutter only), I started to play with some long exposures. I mounted a 15 stop Lee FiveSeven IRND 15 Stop ND onto the two different 35mm M-Mounts and shot at f/11. The results are shown below. I've only tried these two lenses and you can see impact on the Voigtlander is much less than the Zeiss.
I haven't tried any other lenses on the Leica SL2-S yes but I might compare these on a Sony body. It doesn't seem to matter which direction I am facing versus the sun or whether I'm standing in shade or sun. I did do one exposure with a six stop ND and the effect on the Zeiss was much less but still there.
Thoughts Should this be happening? I've used the 15-stop on other lenses (Voigtlander, Loxia) and have never seen this before.
