I think I know what I am doing but I have made erroneous assumptions in the past.
Therefore I have some usage questions:
1. Do you need to choose a camera profile (Standard, Flat, e.g) before you choose an emulation or does the emulation already have an integral base profile ?
2. What is the modular profile? When would I use it? Does it relate to the camera and film emulations?
3. The film emulations were described as:
LINEAR (linear info from the sensor with film emulation applied)
FLAT (base exp curve, no contrast)
STD (full exp curve and contrast)
What does linear mean?
Flat means no contrast curve at all?
Standard is just a basic S curve?
Lastly - what is the value of the WB presets? Why would you use them over the WB control in your software?
