Got a second FE yesterday. This one in particular is super clean and it feels like a brand new camera. Everything is all clicky and snappy, and the self timer doesn't sound like it's going to forget to fire. But I just can't say enough good things about these cameras. The shooting experience when you've got a compact manual body, a great split-prism, and aperture priority mode with a meter that you can trust is just out of this world.
Taken with the 35-200 and D500.
Beautiful looking camera! Oh to have a digital with those features in that form factor.

It'd be something, wouldn't it? Looking at my FE and D600 side by side, the FE is really not THAT much thinner from mount to rear. It looks like the rear LCD is what adds to that dimension, so I bet it'd be doable without a rear screen. You think the "retro" Z is going to get close enough to scratch that itch?
My expectations are low, but hoping to be surprised. APS-C really does not interest me for using legacy F glass. Fuji already excels in that area for adapting. Unless they come out with some type of special edition Z mount lens for it, the existing Z lenses are nothing close to a "retro" match with that type of body.
Depending on if this thing is even real or not, it may be interesting to adapt some legacy Nikkor rangefinder lenses. Would not have to deal with a large FTZ type adapter and would still keep a kit small.
