Loving the XF 90 shots, Marcus! I love mine too, so I've never been very attracted to the XF 80 because it's so big and close to my XF 90 in focal length that I couldn't imagine having them in the same camera bag. My father's day gift was a Zeiss Touit 50/2.8 Makro Planar short tele instead - Liking it so far. It renders a little more "vintage-y" than my XF lenses, and I like the Zeiss color. Focus speeds are slow by modern standards, but at least the X-Pro3's focus limiter feature can be used to reduce the amount of time spent racking back and forth between 4" and infinity :-)
