Also, it's really about creating shallow depth of field surrounding the subject much like you see in film when shot at f/1.4 or whatever. It's usually not done with a subject like this and a background so close to the subject.


I understand the technique behind brenizer and knew that what I was doing doesn't completely match the most commonly used application of it, but as I said I wanted to experiment with it and see what I might be able to make by applying the idea to a close-in portrait. I actually do think it's a fair comparison; just because I didn't use a high number of frames or shoot a wide perspective doesn't change the method in which I shot and stitched the photos together.
