Here is a shot at dusk that would have looked way worse with my f/2.8 zoom due to having to crank up the ISO. Situations like this is ultimately why I wanted the f/1.4 and felt the cost of the 35GM was worth it over just using the zoom. I passed over the 24GM when it came out based on Fred's sharpness comparison of the GM and Sigma 14-24, but now I'm thinking I may need the 24GM too. While my wife and I were shooting the Milky Way last weekend, I switched over to the 35GM from the 14-24 and I just started laughing. She asked what was so funny. I responded, I think this 35GM is going to make me spend more money - makes me want the other GM lenses. She didn't find it humorous.
