While that may be true, let's not pretend they are the only ones doing it. Everywhere you look there's a knock off of something. Even well known technology companies have been successfully sued for infringement 
Anyway Leofoto can can claim being different from Magpul in the QD design 
That said, I like the Magpul's simpler less pieces to brake design.
