Is anyone using a MonoGimbal with their 600 GM? I searched the thread and only found one hit.
I use one with my 200-600 with great success and plan to use it with the 600 GM (if I don't talk myself out of buying one).
Judging from the previous responses, this is quite the popular support apparatus! You can add two more to the list, as Shibu shoots almost exclusively with his monopod and MH-100, and I have one as well that I use when I leave the tripod at home.
If you are referring to the Wimberley MH-100, I got one a while ago. I don't use monopod much. My last two trips to Conowingo since my 600 GM arrived, I just hand held.
Handholding during the actual action for 10-20 seconds is one thing but waiting for the action to take place for minutes, 5-10 or longer minutes, is a completely different beast. Must be nice to be young... or at least younger .

Getting ready for some more of these...
Beautiful shots of the hummers, Joshua!
Believe me, I can't hand hold the 600 GM for more than a few minutes. But at Conowingo, I don't really need to hold it up for too long. When I see an eagle or eagles fly over and look like they may be about to do something, I lift the lens up and locate the bird in the view finder. Usually the action will be over pretty quickly if they are catching fish. There is no need to hold the lens up for more than a few minutes to wait for something to happen. At least that's my observation with respect to shooting eagles at Conowingo.
My 600 GM has finally gotten some usage in the last 10 days or so. Here are some of the shots, also posted in several other threads but not this 600 M thread.
Thank you very. much, Douglas! Yes, that combo is superb alright but the skill of the person behind the camera plays a more significant role in nailing those wonderful shots, Douglas! Awesome - keep it up!
