Guys..more reviews are not necessary. The camera is the cat's meow
If you have the budget and are a Sony shooter and the feature set makes sense then it is a no brainer. Sell all your other bodies as you will never touch them again. If you need a 2nd body then buy two A1s or pick whichever other body makes sense for what you use the 2nd body for.
The only caution I have with this A1 is the EVF blackout issue. Read the threads and take it into consideration. Hopefully either Sony will fix it or us forum members will figure out a workaround. Many are reporting the issue disappearing with time...can't explain that one but it is being reported by many.
Can we see some descent photo's so I can continue to evaluate the camera please, I don't want to see these far off action photo's with no detail.... or over cropped swallows
If you don't think what I've posted so far is decent then I can't help you. I've posted bucket loads of images with only slight crops on Flickr and on here. On Flickr I post at full resolution instead of hiding behind a smaller posting size like everyone else does. They are free to view under View All Sizes up to 6K. I've disabled downloading so sometimes you can't see the full resolution if it is more than 6K. Just the way Flickr works unless you enable downloading.
I really have no idea why you would buy an A1 unless you are going to buy a 600GM or 400GM also. No point otherwise if you already have your high end Canon 600III, 400DOII and 100-500 on the R5. What would be the point? Just to get the 200-600? I wouldn't bother with that, you'll never take it out next to your 600III/R5. Like you said many pages ago, you always want to have the best lens in your hand and therefore that will always be the 600III unless you sell that and buy the 600GM. If you are seriously thinking of doing that you have two good friends (myself included) that would willingly lend you the A1/600GM as long as you want. You lent me the R5 and all the lenses many times so I could make up my decision. Of course I would lend you my A1 anytime you are back. if you take off from work early and fly home tomorrow I'll be two blocks away from your house from Fri-Mon over Easter
Simple, I want to see for myself what all the fuss is about with these Sony Camera's...
