Stores in Sweden are starting to have the lens in store and I bought mine today at the local camera store.
I've used the Sony/Zeiss 35/1.4 ZA since 2015 and my first impression is that the GM is better in pretty much every area. I had some concerns about bokeh but the GM seems to be at least as nice as the ZA. LoCa is visible but still a lot better than the ZA. My copy is sharp from edge to edge already at 1.4 and that's a very big improvement.
One could argue that the lens lacks a bit of character but technically it's very good!
