Wow this puppy does get hot. It shut down from heat after a couple of hours just playing with it setting up the menus and custom controls while sitting on the couch. I set the temp cut-off to high and after another 30 minutes I think I could have fried an egg with it. There must be a heat sink in the bottom -- very noticeable and almost too hot to comfortably touch. Blew out the battery in three+ hours and that's not shooting much. Considering I've got all the settings maxed I didn't think that was too bad but I won't be heading out for the day without a pocket full of batteries that's for sure.
