Spent the last two days testing out the A1. So far it is meeting my high expectations, but it is still early. I am particularly impressed by the Bird's Eye AF. It seems to detect eyes and stick pretty well, even birds that are distant and in flight. Perched or slowly moving birds seem to reliably lock and stick.
I was at the lake photographing Grebes but there was a bunch of Swallows in the way. Got this shot of a Tree Swallow chasing a bug. The swallows did not get close so this is a major crop. It is a bit less than 9MP out of the 50MP and then down sampled to 1.5MP for this site. The AF did not have an easy time acquiring these birds and the eye AF was not reliable but it did trigger frequently. That may be mainly due to my poor tracking.
