Sorry, but that is your opinion. It is possible, but you can't say it with this certainty.
It does indeed appear to be a QC issue. It is reported the front ring of the lens is falling off. Since the lens hood can reverse mount and will rest against this ring, this can certainly be a issue down the line as the ring will be having pressure applied against it, for example, when being carried in your camera bag.
If that were indeed the case, I will happily acknowledge that.
I just would like people to wait in judgement until such details are really confirmed instead of being sure from the beginning already.
This was reportedly posted in an email to a suppler from a Sony manager in Germany. So it certainly seems legitimate.
