What catches my eye in that review is the amount of dust that seems to be inside their copy. Dust inside a lens shows up in bokeh balls.



You see the dust, but also all these rows of small dots. As if something went wrong during the production of the aspherical elements.

I don't think so. I believe a dirty sensor would show spots only in one part of the image, not in every bokeh ball. This part of the review bothered me too. It looks a lot like internal dust. If it is a little circular spot it could be a manufacturing defect in the glass, but it doesn't look like that is what it is there. I feel like I will have to do a thorough job inspecting for dust when the lens arrives with a pinpoint light source.
