You're going to absolutely LOVE the 500 PF. I have not owned a 300PF (too pricey for a short Prime lens for what I photo). I would say you will know if you will sell that 300 PF if after a few months you find you dont pull it out anymore.
I still have my 200-500 after buying my 500 PF from about 2 months ago. I haven't used it once since. Though it is an EXCEPTIONALLY sharp copy of the 200-500 I feel I should keep it as a backup to the 500 PF so I haven't sold it yet.
I also don't use a TC. I rather crop then lose a full stop of light (normally like to shoot wide open) plus loss of IQ.
