At $5000 they would have sold a lot of these. They built a fort around the msrp of the a9 line. Lol

This camera apes all of them. And doesn’t leave a lot of room for improvements in those lines. Don’t get me wrong, it’s hella slick that they put all this tech into one camera, but Its hard to imagine anything but a trickle of the key features from this camera into the others.
a9iii - 25 fps, bird eye af, better buffer
a7siii - 8k and over sampling at other resolutions
a7r5 - more pickles (even though it’s not an inherited trait from the a1)
For me I’m excited to pick up this camera in about 4 years when the a1ii appears with a better lcd and a bigger buffer (that’s about all I can think Sony left on the table).
