I really like the look of this 35GM and the image samples so far.
I will probably need to sell one of my current lenses to purchase this, but I'm not sure which one.
My current kit is 24GM, Zeiss 55, Batis 85, 135GM.
Any advice?
The 135 and 55 are probably my least used the lenses, but I do love the images they produce. I would probably end up using the 35 a lot more than the 135 though...
Without knowing what type of photography you like, it is a bit hard to give you advice on which lens to sell. I photograph outdoor portraits mostly and have the Zeiss 35mm f2.8 & 55 f1.8, Batis 85 & 135, the last 2 are used for 80% of my portrait photos and I would never sell them. I love the small and compact 35 ZA, it is a very sharp lens, however I plan on adding the 35 f1.4 for more environmental type portraits, because the 2 stops is important for this and how I shoot. And the 55mm is a great lens, and I am just not interested in selling it, even though if may end up being the least used of these 4 lenses.
Had the 24GM for almost a year, but just was not using it for portraits, and for travel or landscapes I usually wanted to go wider than 24mm. So I sold the 24mm GM and bought the Sony 20mm f1.8G. Finally feel like I have the best lens spacing for me, and that means 5 primes, probably not what you wanted to hear.
