A photographer’s prerogative. Think off Ansel Adams Moonrise Over Hernandez as but one example of dramatic tonal rendition. The Life Magazine portraiture of W. Eugene Smith would be another.
As someone who appreciates a dynamic portrait, this work by Galer is evocative and motivates me to order the lens.
