Zooms shouldn’t have a place in a hobbyists bag. They don’t get an image, they make it.

Yep, this is where I'm at too...price and the fact that I have a Tamron 28-75 I need to get listed (just don't use zooms much) would make it an easy switch $$-wise, and I could still keep the 24 GM. But the CV 40 is so nice for landscapes...
