One of life's important questions: Does size matter? does age matter?
Here is an assessment of the 1954 3.5cm 3.5 compared to a 2004 35mm 1.4.

I will go to the punch: on a sunny day outdoors with 24mp, not much!

As a reference the 1.4 at f/11. all processing copy paste, nothing scientific here, just for fun.

The 3.5cm at 3.5, curious that the right edge is far but sharp and this lens shows no indication of decentering.

and most interesting the 3.5 at f/22 where it performs quite well on the Z6, unlike newer lenses, 1/15 second exposure outdoors!
