Much better, IMO, seems like an exaggerations. We are talking about 3 percent higher contrast at 30 and 40 cycles/mm. That small of a difference is going to be pretty hard to see even blown up to 100% magnification with a 40MP sensor, and that is just wide open performance. The MTF graph for this M mount version is still quite phenomenal.
And while we are talking about specs they got the lens to be a bit lighter and physically smaller than I expected. It is only a tiny bit larger than the Leica M 50 f/2 APO and quite competitive in size.
