Re: Sigma 24mm f/3.5, 35mm f/2.0 and 65mm f/2.0 DG DN lenses

They were said to have Art level optical performance in a compact size with the new I designator and contemporary label. I notice a nimber of features that are found on the Art series that were not discussed here. Full weather sealing, programable functjon button(s),de-clickable aperture ring to name a few.

The new 105mm 2.8 macro was not listed as part of the new I series. It has the Art name not the contemporary name and does have those features. Similar high material and build quality and super high oltical quality. I wonder if this will be the difference between I contemporary and I Art.

So far none of the Sigmas have stabalization. I expect the 2.8 Art Zooms will need to have it.

So, we now have Signa, and Tamron making Sony E mount the focus of new development, in addition to Zeiss, Voigtlander, and all the others and Sony itself. The variety and quality of lenses for Sony E mount is just amazing, and hrowing at a tremedious pace.

It looks to me that the one mount with open standars is paying off for Sony in a big way.
