My new client that manufactures open heart surgical equipment and peripherals is very interested in ramping up their video material library. We did another product shoot yesterday and that gave us a chance to brainstorm video possibilities. Creating an entire studio at their manufacturing facilities is pretty labor intensive, but it is a much more efficient use of their time and we have everything at our fingertips once we're set up so the extra effort is well worth it. The video end of this is very intriguing, I envision creating some really engaging video stories about their product lines and they'll be great for my portfolio as well.
My architectural client out of Chicago brought up the subject of videos when we were shooting together last week. We were discussing how unexciting "virtual tour" videos are and that morphed into a discussion about creating high end walk through videos of their projects. When I told them that we could do those in a dynamic way, and in up to 8K resolution, they were all in. The Canon C70 with a 15-35 mounted on it will be a perfect combination for projects like that, and for my business jet clients too.
