I'm sure the R5 is excellent for zebra photography
Seriously though even my old GH1 was better than dslr for mf lenses, and it didn't have any focusing aids other than being able to zoom in in the EVF. Even that helped and it is easier to see if it's in focus even if you are not using it. So I'd think that the R5 should be good using older mf lenses, if that's what you are asking.
