People also need to not be so binary in their thinking. Just because this is being marketed to vloggers, doesn't mean its made specifically for vloggers and vloggers only.
The reality is that yes the market for stills cameras is larger, but its saturated even within Sony's current product line, and its a declining market. So if the goal going forward is to find opportunities to grow, you need to market the product to new subsets of customers. So this was marketed to vloggers. But its a great camera for others too....Vloggers certainly don't care for 10fps lol. Some of us just want a smaller FF camera...a7 series have progressively gotten larger to improve ergonomics, but the expense of the original appeal of being compact.
I just find it odd that people who don't care for a compact camera seem so legitimately offended that this camera exists. I mean, I really don't care for video, but I understand why the a7sIII makes sense. It's sort of like someone who drives a Toyota Sequoia getting upset because the trunk in the Supra is too small
