Wait... Does "fully articulated" screen mean that you can't tilt it up without folding it to the side? THAT would certainly be a deal breaker. Can't find any relevant images of it.
Edit: Why would anyone want a large sensor for vlogging?
The bigger question for me is. Why do these camera companies even think "Vlogging" is a big market segment?
Maybe because it is? Do you have other data indicating the size of the vlogging market?
vlogging market is huge and is growing. influencer marketing is a thing now. influencers are constantly trying to stand out by stepping the production value of their content up. just because many of you aren't in the target market and don't understand it doesn't mean it doesnt exist.
I have a couple of friends who are influencers, and its been interesting to see them start to value things like lighting, stabilization, and IQ as a whole. Video with a lot of high ISO noise is amateur looking and they understand that. A lot of these people are photography clients and contacts...basically they hired me on because they have an eye for production quality.
if you are releasing a camera in 2020, then of course it makes sense to market to them.
That said, it doesn't mean that the a7c doesn't have useful applications elsewhere. Many of us want a compact FF and understand that it inevitably comes with compromises. That is what the a7c is.
