Big, big disappointment. I mean how much money does that really save to make the camera much more usable.

I bet they kept the higher res EVF and sensor for higher up in the line. But I agree—I was hoping for better.

I decided mentally I would even buy it with the crappy (compared to 36, 42, 61mp) 24mp sensor. But not with that EVF. That's my line in the sand. It's too bad. I really like the form factor.

We all have our limitations

My main camera is an a7r2, so this is improved. I liked the a7r3 and a9 that I owned EVF’s far better, But I see this as a start to a new line, I’m sure a higher model will come out and be better. When that happens, I’ll trade up.

Problem is you can't "unsee" something. I bought an a7iii as a second body but could not deal with the EVF and returned it. Not because it is bad. It's just like 61mp. Once you go there it's more noticeable going backward. If I never moved up to 42mp and 61mp. 24 would be great. Same with 2.3 EVF would be fine probably if I never saw 3.6 and 5.7. That why I'm never looking through and A7siii EVF
