Re: Sony A7C: Upcoming Compact Full Frame?!?!

To those (here and on SAR) who are upset about the lack of front dial, I would say this camera while missing the front dial is not the same as A6x00 series because it has one extra dial at the left corner which must be the exposure compensation dial. However, I suspect as it is the Sony's way, that dial could be customized to do other tasks. The fact is that in P, A and S modes, one does not need two dials but only one dial for the one parameter to be changed (either the aperture or the shutter speed). So in these modes, the second dial serves as exposure compensation dial. It is only in manual mode where one does need two dials but then in manual mode, one does not need an exposure compensation dials. So the second dial can be used for the shutter speed while the major dial will be used for the aperture.

So it remains to be seen if the custom buttons are all placed in the back or, Sony has omitted them. I hope they haven't omitted them.

I know manufacturers often exaggerate about their new models being 'new concept;, 'revolutionary', 'exceptional', etc.. I really hope Sony has something up in their sleeve when they call it a 'new concept'. It would be partially disappointing if it turns out to Either way, it can still be a great camera if priced right.
