Yes, Sony does have some Nikon lithography equipment in its foundry as confirmed by many sources. Sony also cross licenses some Nikon technology. Nikon is not without technical resources and abilities. Nikon's engineers are very competent as has been proven over the years.
It is worth noting that Nikons lithography equipment has recently listed zero sales. That is correct absolutely no revenue generated by that division. This is likely the result of competition form other companies, and the Covid-19 crisis. In any case it is also an unhealthy division at this point.
