The brightness value in the EXIF is something else. It’s the “intensity” of light or something like that.

Bv = log2 (A˛/T/Sx/N)

But I wonder how it can calculate a brightness value for adapted lenses when it doesn’t actually know the aperture value? A is the f value in the equation.

I also checked a couple of my shots on Flickr that I know were taken @ f/1.2 on an A7iii but they have a brightness value of 2.65. Like this one...
