Tony overall was very positive on the R5...said the AF was better than the Sony which is quite a compliment.
Tony mentioned the following.
At first at 14:56 he says "in my limited experience, especially when it comes to wildlife" So we're listening to someone's experience on wildlife AF that has limited experience with the subject. Now if we were to discard that notice;
at 15:30 "It didn't nail autofocus every single time, so it would sometimes focus on the bill, focus on the body, but that happens with all of my dslr cameras too."
and then "Maybe i had a FIFTY PERCENT hitrate on that"
just 50%? I mean, really? I would expect the eye-af to to much better. But then again, looking at his disclaimer of his limited experience, we still have to find out this for ourselves. The eye-af on my a7rIV is more accurate than 50% with adapted EF mount glass, so i just can't believe the R5 is going to perform worse than that.
