Re: Canon issued a statment regarding the overheating of the R5

It doesn't matter if they use only 10% of the feature set of the R5. What is important is the incredible subject-detection eye AF, 1053 phase-detect AF points covering the entire frame, 12-20 frames-per-second in full 45MP, 6-8 stops of image stabilization, 5.67m dot viewfinder, a very nice new 45MP sensor, a slot for CF-card and UHS II SD card, amazing ergonomics, compact size and weight, and solidly built! Not to mention the 8K video which I personally don't care for. These super-important "features" will come into play every time one turns on the camera. How many top-end flagship cameras today can match those specs? Answer: None. Nada. Zilch. The closest one is not even close! The R5 rocks and is worth the asking price. Thank you, Canon for putting out the R5 and R6 ... and it was about time! But it's certainly worth the wait! Go Canon!

And the sensor is covered when you shut down the camera, which is a really nice touch, as exposed sensors are dust magnets. Just ask any Sony shooter if you don't believe me.

Excellent Summation! Agreed 'In-full' 200%.

It kind of reminds me of the Grandmother that I saw in the park some time back.
She was snapping away with her Nikon D850 'like crazy'. So... I went to say 'Hello'.

She of course, was blasting away in Program Mode, JPEG 'Basic' Quality.
