On paper it sounds like we have a camera that is an R3 with better AF performance than the R4 but not up to A9, as well as an eshutter that is quite behind the A9.

I think it will be what the 5D4 was, an absolute workhorse for hybrid shooters for many years to come. It looks like a very, very well rounded body that is future leaning (4K/120 and 8K/30).

I shoot 2 lenses 99% of the time...24-105, 100-400, and I dip my toe into the 16-35 as needed for landscape and astro and nothing else.

It will be a fairly easy switch to the RF counterparts if the R5 performs favorably with those 3 lenses.
