Coffee time and possibly a little extra motivation to get out and shoot your M: (Lot of interesting and important facts and hints, past, present, future discussed in this interview)

L Mount is the new R Mount ... salient point, I think for those who aren't yet sold on the L mount being sustainable. Imo, this says more than the "alliance" regarding the future of the L mount, as it provides for the non-M (blasphemy to some), non-RF option.

Infancy yet for the L Mount, maybe ... but, it would seem that there is recognition that there remains a non-M market, also. The M & R (i.e. non-M) ran parallel, now the M & L will do so likewise (so it seems to me). And, of course still retaining M lens adaptation utility.

Almost every time I listen to interviews with Dr Kaufmann or Peter Karbe I always learn something.

Lot of casually presented items of note in this video that relate to past, present and hints of where Leica is headed. Likewise going through some of Leitz/Leica history we learn some of the reasons that drove decisions for the present e.g. more recently the Q was an experiment that lead to the SL. Very cool IMO and very logical. And, why the M mount is not in the perfect center of the M camera, very cool x2.

Long video, but worth a couple of reruns to catch all the tidbits. Plenty of real information for many forum discussions.
