Well the answer to my OP question has at least been partially answered as evidenced by Canon finally releasing that fuzzy dark family photo that shows the R6. At least we know it's real now.
Still not convinced on the 20mp rumor as it just seems too odd. I think my wife's old T1i from 11 years ago was 15 or 16 mp so again....wth?
But apparently this R6 is going to literally be a baby R5 with the exact same AF system which is HUGE in my book. With the money saved over the R5, I think I could buy a nice rain coat for it.
